MARINARA SAUCE

IMG_2033

Marinara sauce is a basic tomato sauce . It needs few ingredients but tastes heavenly .This red sauce tends to be little spicer than other tomato sauce .It can be used with any main course dishes like pizza, pasta or as a dipping sauce for any finger food like bread sticks ,pakodas .Here is my very simple recipe made of chunky tomato ,little herbs and chilli pepper. Enjoi!!

INGREDIENT'S:

1 tin tomato chunks
1 small onion nicely chopped
2 pods of garlic chopped
1 bay leaf
2 tsp rosemary and thyme mixed herbs
1tsp pepper flakes
salt to taste
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tbs olive oil

METHOD.:

1) Heat the heavy bottom pan ,pour little olive oil ,put bay leaf , chopped onion and garlic ,when it turns little brown, add tomato chunks , pepper flakes .Boil this for a 3-4 minutes .

2) Add 2tsp of mixed herbs ,salt and papper to this mixture. Boil this for 5 minutes .Take off the bay leaf .You can use this as Pizza topping or dip to any appetizer of your choice.
