Happy 2010 And Plantain Sweet (Amrit sanjeevini ) Havyaka special

Wish you all a very happy and fun filled 2010. What is better than marking beginning the new year with a toast of sweet touch? Amrit sanjeevini is the traditional havyaka mouth watering dessert. A bite or two gives a heavenly feeling :-). go ahead and enjoy




ingredient's:

2 raw plantains peeled, cooked,and nicely mashed .
pinch of salt

oil for deep fry

For Syrup
1cup jaggery
1/2 cup water
2tbs sesame seeds
1/2 tsp elaichi powder


Method

1) Take a kadai and put jaggery and water bring it to boil.Then add sesame seeds and elaichi powder to this . Let it cool .
2) Then take mashed plantain,,add pinch of salt to this and mix it well.Then make small,small balls .
3)Take each ball and press it like poori .
4) Heat the oil and deep fry these plantain poori,till it turns golden brown .Put it on the tissue paper that to take off the excess oil.Then sprinkel with 2tbs of jaggery syrup.
Serve hot .Enjoi! :)
