Pav Bhaji

Ingredient's :


1 cup boiled potato nicely mashed

1/2 cup sweet peas
1/2 cup carrot boiled
1 /2 capsicum chopped
1/2 cup onion
1 tomato chopped
1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
1 tsp butter
1tsp lemon juice
2 tbs oil
handful coriander leaves
salt to taste

Masala paste :

1 stick Cinnamon stick

3 cloves

1/2 onion

1 elaichi

3-4 red chillies

Method :

For Bhaji masala

1) Take a pan, dry roast the red chillies, Cinnamon stick, cloves and elaichi ..and keep it aside ..In the same pan add little oil ,then add the chopped onion and fry it till turns golden brown. Let it cool for few seconds and grind to make smooth paste.
2) Take a pan add 2 tbsful of oil when it turns hot add ginger garlic paste,chopped onion. Saute this for few seconds then add capsicum ,peas ,then chopped tomato,when it is half done add ground masala ,boil this for 4-5 minutes .
3) Then add boiled vegetables like ..mashed potatoes and carrots bring it to boil for few seconds Add salt to your taste ..add water if required .
4) Then add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice serve hot with Pav.

This recipe sounds very different,u r not using store bought masala! Sure sounds very delicious!!

Hi Mangala, after a long time I am writing again! I never thought of making pav bhaji without ready made masala powder. Your's looks great and really helpful when we don't have masala powder(may be we might stop using masala powder)
