Hurid Anna

IMG_5564

Well, this one is comes to me from my Mom, she makes this with left over rice. It looks like chitranna but i don't think it tastes like that. I don't know why ...bcs of onion? Oh well, try this out and let me know guys :-) it tastes totaly different from chitranna ..believe me! EnjoY. Your hurid anna !!!

Ingredient's :

2cups cooked rice

1 cup chopped onion

1 tsp turmeric powder

5-6 green chillies

1/2 tsp hing

3tbs lemon juice

1tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp urad dal

2 tbs oil

4-5 curry leaves

salt to taste

Method;

1) Take a large bowl and put the cooked rice ,lemon juice ,salt to taste and keep it aside .

2)Then take a heavy bottom pan ,pour oil, when it becomes hot, add urad dal , mustard seeds, turmeric powder, hing ,curry leaves, green chillies and onion . saute this for 8-10 minutes .

3)Switch off the gas and let it cool for 10 more minutes .

4) Then add the rice and serve chilled with multi grain chips ...enjoi :)
